Terms & Conditions
By placing a deposit, joining our waiting list, or purchasing a puppy, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. About Us
Chi-Chi’s Premier Pooches is a licensed home breeder. Our priority is the lifelong welfare of every puppy we breed.
By placing a deposit, joining our waiting list, or purchasing a puppy, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to the following terms and conditions.
2. Enquiries and Waiting List
Joining our waiting list does not guarantee the availability of a puppy.
Waiting list order may change at any time. We do not operate strictly on a first come first served basis. Suitability of the home, lifestyle, and the individual needs and temperament of each puppy are always prioritised.
We reserve the right to refuse, delay or withdraw a sale at any time if we believe a home is not suitable for the welfare of the puppy.
3. Deposits
A deposit is required to reserve a specific puppy.
The deposit confirms the buyer’s commitment and allows us to decline other enquiries and remove the puppy from availability.
Deposits are non refundable if the buyer changes their mind, develops allergies, cannot obtain landlord permission, has family objections, experiences financial change, finds another dog, or for any other personal circumstance.
If we are unable to supply the reserved puppy, or we decide the placement is not suitable for welfare reasons, the deposit will be refunded in full.
No puppy is considered reserved until the deposit has been received.
4. Collection and Final Payment
The remaining balance must be paid before or at collection.
Collection dates are agreed in advance. If a puppy is not collected within 7 days of the agreed date without prior arrangement, we reserve the right to cancel the sale and retain the deposit.
We will not release puppies earlier than the appropriate age for their welfare and development.
5. Transfer of Ownership and Responsibility
The puppy becomes the full responsibility of the new owner at the moment the puppy leaves our premises.
This includes, but is not limited to, illness, injury, accident, behaviour, training, diet, insurance, and all veterinary costs.
We strongly advise insurance is arranged before collection.
6. Health at Collection
All puppies leave:
• bright, alert and active
• feeding well
• appropriately socialised for age
Puppies are checked prior to leaving and any known concerns will always be disclosed.
A puppy is considered healthy at the point of collection unless proven otherwise by veterinary evidence.
7. Aftercare and Veterinary Treatment
If a puppy appears unwell within 48 hours of collection, you must contact us immediately.
Except in a genuine emergency where immediate treatment is required to prevent suffering, we must be contacted before veterinary treatment is authorised.
We cannot accept responsibility for veterinary costs incurred without prior communication.
Puppies are living animals and may develop illness after leaving our care due to environmental change, stress, diet change, pathogens, parasites, or accidents which are outside our control.
8. Congenital or Pre-Existing Conditions
In the unlikely event a veterinary surgeon confirms a serious congenital condition that existed prior to the puppy leaving us, written veterinary evidence must be provided.
Our responsibility will be limited to one of the following at our discretion:
• a replacement puppy when available
• or a partial or full refund of the purchase price
We do not cover additional costs including veterinary fees, diagnostic tests, travel, insurance excess, or consequential losses.
9. Parasites and Common Puppy Conditions
Young puppies commonly carry roundworms transmitted from their mother before birth or via milk. Puppies are wormed appropriately, however reinfection can occur after leaving us. It is essential that you continue with a regular worming and flea programme.
Minor and common conditions in puppies such as worms, loose stools, stress related diarrhoea, dietary upset, or mild infections are normal in young animals adjusting to a new home and are not grounds for refund.
10. New Owner Responsibilities
By purchasing a puppy you agree to:
Provide appropriate nutrition, housing and daily care
Follow vaccination guidance from your veterinary surgeon
Not allow contact with unknown dogs in public places until vaccinations are complete
Maintain parasite prevention
Arrange routine veterinary care
Supervise children appropriately
Failure to provide appropriate care may invalidate any agreement.
10A. Diet and Feeding
All puppies leave us established on a specific feeding plan designed to support digestive stability and gut health.
The buyer agrees to continue the recommended diet for a minimum of 6 weeks after collection. Sudden dietary change is a common cause of gastrointestinal upset in puppies.
We recommend puppies remain on a nutritionally balanced raw diet, however the long term feeding decision remains the owner’s choice.
If the buyer chooses to change the diet, this must be done gradually over a minimum of 10 to 14 days.
We cannot accept responsibility for illness, diarrhoea, vomiting, poor appetite, intolerance, weight loss, or veterinary costs arising from a change of diet or feeding routine after the puppy leaves our care.
Diet related issues are not considered grounds for refund or return.
11. Rehoming
If at any point you cannot keep the dog, you must contact us first if we take the dog back there will be no refund. We may offer to assist in ensuring the dog is safely rehomed.
The dog must not be sold, gifted or transferred to a third party without notifying us our puppies are sold on the basis that they’re going to forever homes.
12. Behaviour and Training
Puppies require training, routine and consistency. Normal puppy behaviours including crying at night, toilet accidents, mouthing, and chewing are normal and not faults.
We cannot guarantee adult size, coat, temperament, colour shade, or breeding suitability.
13. Photographs and Updates
We may occasionally request updates or photographs as part of responsible breeding follow up. This is optional but appreciated.
14. Agreement
By placing a deposit or purchasing a puppy, the buyer confirms they have read, understood and agreed to these terms and conditions.
